Whereas one of the conditions required for the Water Treatment Plant operating license, according to the Ontario Regulation 453/07, is the preparation and adoption of a financially viable plan for the water system, and; Whereas the Town must make the financial plan available to the public, at no cost, and must give a copy approved by Council to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and; Whereas the operating license of the Town must be renewed in 2020. Be it resolved to approve the 2020-2028 financial plan, to submit a copy of the plan with the license renewal application, to publish a copy on the Town’s website and to remit a copy of the financial plan to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, as recommended in document 2020_REC_47. Whereas the Hawkesbury Figure Skating Club has rented the Sports Complex rink between 200 and 250 hours per year for 43 years, and; Whereas the Hawkesbury Figure Skating Club offers the Canskate Introductory Skating Program to teach fundamental skills for all ice sports to all youth in Hawkesbury and surrounding areas, and; Whereas, according to By-law N° 59-2019 for fees for services rendered by the Town, the Hawkesbury Figure Skating Club pays the hourly "association" rate of $144.00 and that the Fusion Eastern Prescott-Russell minor hockey club pays the "minor hockey" hourly rate of $119.00, and; Whereas the Hawkesbury Figure Skating Club and the Fusion Eastern Prescott-Russell minor hockey club should receive fair support from the Town. Be it resolved to add, in Schedule F of By-law N° 59-2019, to the category "Ice at Robert Hartley Sports Complex" the Hawkesbury Figure Skating Club with "Minor Hockey", so that the club can benefit from the same hourly rate of $119.00 and that a by-law amending Schedule F be adopted accordingly, as recommended in document 2020_REC_48.
