WHEREAS a number of comments made by Mayor Paula Assaly at the regular meeting of Council on September 27 th , 2021, after the presentation and filing of the Integrity Commissioner Valerie M’Garry’s Report, are not endorsed by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF HAWKESBURY HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Council acknowledges its responsibility as an employer to provide a workplace free from violence or harassment for its municipal employees. That Mayor Assaly’s comments during the regular meeting of Council on September 27 th , 2021, were made in her personal capacity and without the authorization of Council. Likewise, Mayor Assaly’s comments do not reflect the views of Council or of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury.
